Kate has worked as a freelance journalist and communications professional for more than a decade.
She has worked with a diverse base of corporate and non-profit clients that run the gamut from Fidelity Investments to the Cardinal Cushing Center. As a regular correspondent for The Boston Globe and The Patriot Ledger, she has covered a wide array topics including style, real estate, business, and the workplace. She also served as a reporter for Bay State Parent magazine where her features and essays won several awards from Parenting Publication of America. Her in-depth piece on 9/11 families in Massachusetts earned first place in feature writing from the New England Press Association.
Prior to her freelance career, Kate worked in high-tech public relations where she managed various start-up companies and associations during the dot.com boom of the 1990s. She also served as a communications specialist and writer on the Big Dig’s public information team for six years.
Kate received her B.A. in English from Westfield State College and an M.A. in Journalism from Northeastern University
